Carey Kish
Among some two-dozen long distance treks in the U.S., Canada and Europe, Carey has twice hiked the entire 2,189-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, the second time in 2015 at age 56. He has also hiked the 1,100-mile Florida Trail (2017), and in 2019, completed all but 177 miles of the 2,653-mile the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada (winter came early to the Washington Cascades). He went back in 2021 to finish off those final miles.

A regular on the Maine (and beyond) speaking circuit, Carey entertains active and armchair outdoor enthusiasts alike with his inspiring, energetic and informative programs on the great outdoors.

Carey lives in his beloved state of Maine right next to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island with his wife, Fran, and a mountain of outdoor gear.
